Job summary

MPA Recruitment is looking for experienced Care Assistants to work agency shifts in Ballymena care homes. Long days, half days, twilight shifts and nights are available. If you want extra income or to pick up occasional shifts alongside your current job, tell us which hours suit you.

What you'll need: at least 6 months’ paid care experience in the last five years, NISCC registration and the right to work in the UK. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' paid experience in a care setting within the last 5 years.
• NISCC registration and the right to work in the UK.
• A caring, reliable approach and good communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care, meals and mobility.
• Help residents stay independent and offer companionship.
• Record observations and update care records.
• Follow safeguarding and infection control procedures.
• May assist with clinical tasks you have been trained to carry out.
