Job description

Care Assistant 4/6hrs PW £12.40hr in LS23 - FTE - £0.0k - Wetherby - LS23

I am seeking a dedicated personal assistant for a bubbly and inquisitive seven year-old girl who lives in the LS23 area.

She is autistic and requires someone with whom she can build a positive and trusting relationship, while receiving one-to-one support.

In this role, you would help her safely access appropriate activities in the local community. The person would need to be vigilant as she has a low sense of danger and have a good ability to support individuals with challenging behaviours.

The candidate should have a good nature, be patient, and have experience with people who are on the autistic spectrum. Enjoying being outside and engaging in activities is essential.

Preferably dog friendly as we have a dog in the house, although this is not a non-negotiable requirement. We are a diverse household and would love to attract candidates who are inclusive and/or from diverse backgrounds themselves.

She particularly enjoys outdoor activities and loves swimming and water-play. Beaches and pools are some of her favourite places to visit. The role will focus on developing her integration, interaction, communication, life, and social skills.

The rate of pay is £12.40 per hour, plus activity expenses.

Due to location, a full UK driving license and own transport are essential, along with relevant insurance needed. This role is 4 hours per week during term time and 6 hours per week in the holidays. There is potential for overtime.
