Job summary

GreenSquareAccord is seeking a Care Assistant at Showell Court, Wolverhampton, to support residents with daily routines, personal care and mealtime assistance. The role involves flexible shifts (7:00–14:30 or 14:30–22:00) and a rolling rota for weekends and bank holidays, in a homely setting with private apartments.

DBS check is required after offer. You will join a warm team focused on independence, safety and compassionate care within a single building.

Job Title: Care Assistant

Job Location: Showell Court, Othello Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 9NN

Salary: £12.91 per hour

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours:Part Time and Full Time available

Working pattern -

7am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-10pm shifts which are paid as 7 hours shift with a 30 minute unpaid break

There is a 2 week rolling rota on set hours covering weekends and bank holidays.

Care is delivered in one building so no travel in community.

About the role

Showell Court is a homely extra care service which helps people continue to live independently with access to a warm and friendly care team. Living at Showell Court allows you to have your own front door in a private and self-contained apartment with a variety of facilities on your door step. We offer both long and short term stays.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

In your new role as Care Assistant, you will:

• Build relationships with Residents, which are open and two way
• Support Residents to undertake their daily routines
• Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary
• Accurately report and/or record work activities
• Support with activities of daily living & personal care
• Assist residents with mealtimes where necessary.

As Care Assistant, you will ideally have:

• Experience working within a care environment
• A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience
• An open and honest character, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness
• The ability to be a natural care giver and someone who can communicate in an open and honest manner with your colleagues, residents and their visitors
