Job summary

Ash Grange Nursing Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, dignity and wellbeing. The role is based in a 41-bed home near Walsall, offering person-centred care with comprehensive training.

The position pays £12.95–£13.45 per hour, with Bank shifts, paid Enhanced DBS, uniform, pension and generous annual leave. Benefits include wellbeing and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to provide safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm and positive environment.
• Open to both experienced carers and newcomers with full training and development.

Job description

Our 41 bedded home provides residential and nursing care for older people. Based in Bloxwich, close to Walsall, Ash Grange Nursing Home is a friendly and welcoming home with a strong community feel. The home offers a comfortable setting with communal lounges, outdoor space and a dedicated team who work together to provide person centred care and support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.95 to £13.45 per hour
• Bank
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
