Care Assistant

Location: Lockerbie

Salary: £12.60 per hour, up to £28,828 per annum

Hours: 22 - 44 hours per week, days or night shifts

A care home on the outskirts of Dumfries in Lockerbie is currently seeking an experienced Care Assistant to work on a permanent basis.

Details of the Care Assistant role:

• Permanent contract with flexible hours (22-44 hours per week)
• Competitive hourly pay rates of £12.60, with potential annual earnings up to £28,828
• Supportive and welcoming working environment

As a Care Assistant, you will oversee and maintain the care of service users, supporting the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers in the day-to-day running of the service.

Ideal candidate qualities:

• Caring and empathetic nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to high standards of care
• Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential)
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience in care or eagerness to learn is welcomed, even if you haven't worked as a carer before
