You must hold a UK driving licence and own your own vehicle (Car, Motorbike, scooter, mop-head). Sunny Lives Support is recruiting to support our ever-growing client base here in Hampshire. Clients range from 18 to 101.

Care Assistant Day to Day Duties:

1. We complete companionship calls, assisting clients to access the community, as well as personal care.
2. Nutrition and hydration needs, moving and handling needs, medication support, and much more.
3. Ensuring person-centred care is at the forefront, ensuring that clients’ needs and welfare are met in their individual way.
4. Ensuring that independence is promoted to allow the client to progress and reach individual goals of improvement.
5. You will be given access to an Electronic Monitoring system to enable you to record all outcomes of the visit as well as raise concerns to other staff and leave handover notes to the next carer.

Care Assistant Requirements:

1. Must have a full driving license and a vehicle to use for work purposes.
2. A rolling DBS is desirable; however, we will purchase one for you if required.
3. The role is varied as each client is an individual with individual needs; however, the skills required will remain the same.
4. Empathy, courage, and care are just some of the qualities you need to fulfill this role.

We require full and part-time Care Assistant staff, preferably starting at 7 am, but not essential. Staff will be asked to complete availability between 7 am - 10 pm, will be asked to work one evening a week, and every other weekend.

Salary:

Pay rates as follows:

1. £12.21 - 7 am - 5 pm
2. £12.21 - 5 pm - 10 pm
3. £14.00 - weekends all day / Bank holidays are paid at time and half.

Care Assistant Benefits:

1. We offer all staff the opportunity to attend specialist training when the need arises, giving everyone the opportunity to progress and gain knowledge, including Insulin administration, Buccal, CPAP setup, to name a few.
2. You will be reimbursed at 25p per mile for mileage that is calculated by our system for you.
3. Full uniform and PPE will be given if successful in joining the team.
