Job description

About The Role
In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.

By joining HC-One you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

Right now, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home. Whether we're providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times.

As a Care Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents. Your duties include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.

Deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents maintain their dignity and individuality. Be involved in activities within the care home, support residents with mobility aids, offer emotional support, and provide end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.

We offer comprehensive training and a range of benefits to support your well-being, including:

  • An hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications
  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Free uniform
  • Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Group life assurance
  • Wagestream for flexible pay access
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • GP online services
  • Colleague discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme for support with physical, mental, and financial issues
