Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, is seeking a dedicated complex care caregiver in Epsom to support a sociable child with specific medical needs. You will provide daily living support, assist with therapies, and participate in activities like outdoor play and arts.

Training and clinical oversight are provided. Applicants should have experience in complex care, moving and handling, tracheostomy & PEG feeding, and be a driver due to location.

Qualifications

Experience working in a complex care setting.
Experience in moving and handling.
Experience in tracheostomy & PEG feed care.
Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
Experience with suctioning.
Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.
Driver required due to location.

Responsibilities

Job Description

What you’ll do

Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child to reach his full potential.

You will provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs, supporting daily living, light domestic tasks, and a range of social and sensory activities, including messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos.

Care will be delivered in line with an individualised care plan and includes tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding for hydration, and specialist moving and handling due to spinal instability.

You will be fully supported by the Advantage Healthcare London branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse.
