Job description

This Care Assistant post sits at Frognal House Care Home, one of more than 100 homes run by Avery Healthcare Group. The work centres on personal care for residents, supporting their hygiene and independence while spotting risks such as falls, pressure sores and infection and escalating them promptly. No previous experience is needed, as a full induction and training programme is provided, and the employer pays for the DBS check. Applicants must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

What the job involves

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services
• Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, promoting their independence, dignity and respect
• Recognise clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection, and expedite identified risks in a timely manner
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
• Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks
