Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant in Solihull to provide in-home companionship and care. The role offers flexible shifts and supports independence for clients in their own homes.

You don’t need prior care experience; kindness, reliability and a desire to help others are valued. Full training, support and growth opportunities are provided by a purpose-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Kind, adaptable and people-first mindset is essential.
• No prior care experience needed, willingness to learn is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their homes.
• Assist with personal care e.g. washing, bathing, dressing, toileting.
• Support mobility needs to help clients stay safe.
• Oversee and administer medication per care plans.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and meal prep.
• Run errands including shopping and prescription collection.
• Offer calm, compassionate support that makes clients feel cared for.

What you’ll do

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.

• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
