A local council authority in Salisbury is looking for a passionate Care Assistant to provide personalized care to adults with learning disabilities. This role is offered on an annualised hours contract, meaning your total working hours are spread across the year rather than following a fixed weekly schedule. You’ll play a key role in providing cover for annual leave and sickness and supporting during busy periods. You’ll be contracted to work a minimum of 30 hours across the year, though additional hours are likely to be available depending on service needs and your availability.
We’ll always aim to give you as much notice as possible for your shifts, helping you balance work with your personal commitments. However, there may be occasions where short-notice cover is needed. We’re looking for someone who enjoys flexible working and being part of a supportive team that keeps our service running smoothly.
As this is a 24/7 service, you may be required to work a variety of early/late shifts or weekends and bank holidays for which enhancements will be paid in line with the policy.
