Job summary

Routes Healthcare (North) Limited is seeking a Care Assistant – Driver with Own Vehicle to visit clients in their homes across Penistone and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred care, support with daily activities, and travel between visits, using your own vehicle.

The role offers £15.37 per hour (including holiday pay) plus 30p per mile, with a £500 sign-on bonus after completing 120 hours. DBS is fully funded, and UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
• Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
• At least 3 months paid care experience in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Visiting vulnerable clients in their own homes.
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
• Supporting with medication management.
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Working solo or as part of a 2-person team depending on client needs.
• Travelling between client visits during shifts.

About the Role

This is a homecare position — you'll be travelling to clients' homes throughout the day to provide person-centred care and support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visiting vulnerable and palliative clients in their own homes
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting with medication management
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
• Working solo or as part of a 2-person team depending on client needs
• Supporting clients with a variety of different care requirements
• Travelling between client visits throughout your shift

Shift Patterns & Hours

Flexibility to suit your life:

• Full-time and part-time hours available
• Runs between 7am and 10pm
• Templated hours — you'll be scheduled to a set rota, so you know your shifts in advance and can plan around your life
• Range of shifts available Monday to Sunday (weekend availability required)
• Once committed to a shift, we need you to complete the full shift reliably
