Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, is recruiting for a Night Support Worker to join our Birmingham team to support three young clients aged 8–14. You’ll provide tailored, person-centred care across up to five nights per week, on a seven-day rota, with backing from a Nurse, Care Coordinator and Client Manager.

You’ll use an iPad to log shifts and medical information, build relationships with clients and families, and develop communication approaches including for nonverbal clients.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility for night support work.
• Excellent communication skills with young people, their families, and professional care teams.
• Willingness to learn Makaton if not already trained.
• Able to stay calm, confident and professional in all situations.
• Comfortable advocating for young people and being their voice when needed.
• Commitment to promoting choice, independence, dignity and respect at all times.

Responsibilities

So, what will your day look like?

Every night shift brings variety in this rewarding role supporting one of three individual young clients, each with unique needs and personalities, where you’ll provide tailored, person-centred care and truly make a difference. You will act as a flexible night support worker across all three care packages, covering holidays and sickness for up to five nights per week across a seven-day rota, with full backing from an experienced Nurse, Care Coordinator and Client Manager. Working with young people aged 8–14, you’ll play a key role in communication and relationship-building with both clients and their families, using an iPad to accurately record shifts and medical information, and developing personalised communication approaches, including with nonverbal clients.
