Care Assistant - Nottingham, NG7

Location: Nottingham, NG7
Daily Rate: £85 - £95 per day
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual who's passionate about supporting others? We're working with a friendly and inclusive setting in NG7 to recruit a Care Assistant to support children with additional needs in a nurturing school environment.

This is a full-time, term-time role ideal for someone with experience in care, support work, or SEN education-particularly for individuals looking to transition from care into a school-based support role.

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you'll work closely with class teams to provide personalised care and support to pupils with additional physical, emotional, and medical needs. The focus will be on maintaining comfort, independence, and dignity throughout the school day.

You'll support with personal care routines, encourage participation in classroom and social activities, and help create a consistent and reassuring environment for the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small-group care support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with personal care, feeding, toileting, and mobility where necessary
- Promote independence, dignity, and confidence
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and external professionals
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Monitor and report pupil wellbeing and any concerns appropriately

We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in care, support work, or SEND (preferred but not essential)
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
- Confidence supporting children or young adults with physical or emotional needs
- Willingness to support with all aspects of personal care
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
