Job summary

Independent Community Care Management, part of CCH, is seeking a caring professional for night shifts in a Northampton family home. You will provide care and support to a young adult who uses a wheelchair and a ventilator at night, helping ensure comfort and safety.

Full nurse-led training is provided, with a background in the care sector preferred. Key duties include personal care, airway support, ventilator management and safe moving in a wheelchair, with a friendly dog in the home.

Pay: £13.75 per hour

Shifts: Waking Nights - 9pm - 8am - Availability Throughout The Week

Job Description

What you’ll do

You will be working in the family home of a young adult where you will make a real difference in providing care and support throughout the night. Our client uses a wheelchair due to spinal muscular atrophy and uses a ventilator at night.

He enjoys playing computer games, watching TV and likes to go bowling and to the cinema.

This is a very important and rewarding role that requires a confident, caring and friendly care professional. There is a pet dog in the home so animal lovers are welcome to apply.

The key tasks with this role include:

• Personal care


• Support airway through the night


• Ventilator management


• Specialist Moving & Handling - Repositioning in the wheelchair

Qualifications

What we’re looking for: It is essential that the successful candidate will have a background in the care sector. We do provide full nurse led training so this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills as complex care assistant and be a part of a team that makes a real difference.
