Job responsibilities

Package Description: Shift Details: 7.30 am-2.30 pm and 2.30 pm-9.30 pm.

At Avery Healthcare, we support the people who care for our residents. You will join a warm, award-winning team as a Care Assistant and contribute to delivering high standards of personal care and continuity of services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Assistant is to deliver high standards of personal care, supporting the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents in personal hygiene while protecting dignity and independence.
  • Recognising and escalating clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and infections.
  • Acting politely towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
  • Practising safe systems of work across tasks.
ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you should live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Experience is not required as we offer a thorough induction and training programme.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
  • Be an efficient worker able to follow reasonable instructions.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Other requirements
  • DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
