About the Role

Care Assistant at La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home, located on the outskirts of Martock, Somerset. The home provides specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents. You will be a key member of the care team, ensuring residents receive exceptional care, supporting their daily routines, promoting independence, and prioritizing their health and happiness.

Responsibilities include:

1. Empowering Independence: Assisting residents with daily routines and encouraging positive choices.
2. Personalized Care: Supporting residents according to their care plans with attention to individual needs.
3. Health and Wellbeing: Monitoring residents’ health and communicating concerns to the healthcare team.
4. Upholding Dignity: Respecting and valuing each resident in every interaction.
5. Social Support: Promoting social interactions to foster a warm environment.
6. Safety and Comfort: Maintaining safe living spaces and responding to emergencies.
7. Nutritional Support: Assisting with eating and drinking as needed.
8. Bringing Joy: Creating a positive and happy atmosphere for residents.

Candidate Requirements:

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred).
• At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant.
• Genuine interest in elderly care and commitment to excellent service.
• Values of integrity, respect, and teamwork.
