The role involves providing care for a young adult with an acquired brain injury, requiring specific medical skills such as administering PEG feeds and suctioning. Qualifications

• Experience required prior to being interviewed.
• Experience in following medical procedures is extremely advantageous.
• Ability to monitor the client's condition for seizures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a young adult with an acquired brain injury.
• Administer PEG feeds and daily suctioning.
• Ensure the client’s complex needs are met.

Skills

Experience in intermittent catheter care

Experience with suctioning machines

Experience with PEJs

Shifts:Full Time - 2:1 Days & Nights (8 am - 8 pm | 8 pm- 8 am) 2-3 Shifts Per Week

Driver required: Yes - full UK licence and access to your own vehicle

Job Description

What you'll do

The client is a young adult who has an acquired brain injury and is non-verbal, and due to this, the client would require several complex needs that need to be met, such as:

• PEG feeds (PEJ)
• Daily suctioning.
• Monitoring the client's condition for seizures.

Experience required prior to being interviewed:

Experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:

• Intermittent catheter care.
• Suctioning machines.
• PEJs
