Job summary

PSR Solutions is recruiting a Care Assistant for a care home on the outskirts of Dumfries in Lockerbie. You will work permanent shifts across 22-44 hours per week, with day or night 12-hour shifts and a competitive pay rate of £13.45 per hour, up to £30,773.60 per year.

A care home on the outskirts of Dumfries in Lockerbie is currently requires an experienced Care Assistant to work on a permanent basis.

Details of this Care Assistant vacancy and what the successful candidate can expect to receive:

• Permanent contract working 22-44 hours per week
• 12-hour day or night shifts available:
• Day shifts: 8am-8pm
• Night shifts: 8pm-8am
• Competitive hourly pay rate of £13.45 per hour, with the potential to earn up to £30,773.60 per year

As a Care Assistant you will oversee and maintain the care of the service users, and support the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers with the general running of the service.

What we are looking for in a Care Assistant:

• Have a caring and empathetic nature.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
• Hold a [Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent] in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential).
• Have the right to work in the UK.
