Interested in joining our team here at Rustington Convalescent Home? We are looking for a Care Assistant who is eager to help and support our patients and staff.

RCH is one of the very few places in the UK that specialises in short term convalescent and respite care. It exists to help post-operative and respite guests get better, recover mentally and physically, and return home refreshed, confident and capable.

Care Assistant

Rustington, Littlehampton BN16 2LZ

£12.82 per hour (£16.03 per hour - enhanced for night and weekend working)

Permanent; day and night shifts

Week 1:

  • Tuesday: 3:30pm - 8:30pm
  • Friday: 4pm - 8.30pm
  • Friday: 8.15pm - 08.30am (night)
  • Saturday: 4pm - 8:30pm

Week 2:

  • No shifts available

Week 3:

  • Monday: 07.30am - 3.30pm
  • Friday: 8.15pm - 08.30am (night)

Week 4:

  • Friday and Saturday: 8.15pm - 8.30am (night)

What will you be doing?

  • To assist registered nursing staff in the provision and implementation of planned patient care, and carry out assigned tasks under their direction, guidance and/or supervision.
  • To undertake tasks not directly associated with the delivery of patient care, assigned by the Senior Sister or designated deputy.
  • To contribute to the implementation of individual’s programmes of care.
  • To recognize and promote the rights of the individual by maintaining dignity, privacy and safety in the delivery of care.
  • To ensure confidentiality is maintained when receiving and disclosing information regarding patients, relatives, carers and/or staff.
  • To work as a member of a team to develop and maintain a quality service.
  • To recognize personal limitations and seek adequate support and supervision when appropriate.
  • To maintain and foster good working relationships with all categories of staff at the Home.

What will you need?
