Job summary

Interserve Healthcare in Lingfield is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to join a team supporting a child with complex needs at home and at school.

You will work alongside a registered nurse, providing tracheostomy, ventilation and gastrostomy care, daily living support, and engaging activities for the child.

A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the location; comprehensive training and DBS check are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care settings is essential.
• Ability to move and handle patients safely.
• Experience with tracheostomy and gastrostomy care.
• Experience caring for a ventilated child.
• Driver with UK licence due to location.

Responsibilities

• Join a dedicated care team supporting a child with complex needs at home and school.
• Deliver tracheostomy, ventilation and gastrostomy care and daily living support.
• Engage the child in activities such as play and music.
• Work with a registered nurse and receive regular supervision and training.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful child with complex needs to reach her full potential. Working alongside a registered nurse, you’ll deliver care at home and at school, supporting her access to education.

Care includes tracheostomy, ventilation and gastrostomy care, daily living support, and engaging in play and activities she enjoys, such as music, singing and games.

You’ll be fully supported by theAdvantage HealthcareLondon branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and clinical training and support from a registered nurse.

Qualifications

Experience in-line with the following is essential for this position: -

• Experience working in a complex care setting
• Experience in moving and handling
• Experience in tracheostomy & gastrostomy care
• Experience of looking after a ventilated child
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location
