Join Our Specialist Complex Care Team as a Care Assistant at Oaklea Complex Care Unit

Willinbrook Healthcare, the specialist division of Care Concern Group, is dedicated to providing high-quality care for individuals with complex physical and mental health needs. Our Oaklea Complex Care Unit at Ashlea Court Care Home is a pioneering 26-bed specialist unit, supporting residents with conditions such as advanced dementia, neurological disorders, and complex medical needs.

This is an opportunity to develop specialist skills in complex care, whether you have prior experience or are eager to gain expertise through our dedicated support and development programme.

What We Offer:

  • £12.10 per hour
  • Contracted to 44 hours per week
  • Paid PVG

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver Specialist Care – Support residents with complex needs, including those with neurological conditions, dementia, physical disabilities, and tracheostomy care
  • Health Monitoring – Observe and report changes in residents' conditions, working closely with nurses and healthcare professionals
  • Medication Support – Assist in administering medication as part of a personalised care plan
  • Uphold Dignity & Independence – Encourage residents to engage in activities that promote well-being while maintaining their autonomy
  • Support Nutrition & Hydration – Assist residents with PEG feeding or dietary plans, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Promote a Safe Environment – Work alongside the wider team to ensure a secure, structured, and person-centred care setting
  • Who We're Looking For:
  • The ideal candidate will either have prior experience in complex care or be eager to develop their skills in this highly rewarding field.
  • Qualifications – SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, or a willingness to work towards it
  • Experience – Previous experience in a complex care, nursing home, or hospital setting is beneficial but not essential
  • Commitment to Learning – A strong desire to develop expertise in complex conditions such as dementia, neurological disorders, and physical disabilities
  • Team Player – Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure the best outcomes for residents
