Job summary

Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Knowle Gate Care Home in Knowle. You’ll deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team, helping residents with daily activities.

No experience required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided; you’ll be supported to grow within a values-driven culture that respects dignity and independence. A DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and others.
  • Be an efficient worker able to follow reasonable instructions.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

About The Role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include
