Job summary

Westview Lodge Care Home in Hartlepool is seeking a Care Team Leader to guide and support the care team across day and night shifts. The role involves leading on each shift, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring residents' daily living needs are met with dignity.

You'll mentor new staff, promote independence, liaise with families and professionals, and participate in activities with residents. We offer ongoing training, flexibility, and a supportive management team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team in a care setting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the care team during each shift.
• Ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
• Supporting residents with daily living activities.
• Promoting dignity, independence and choice.
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting concerns.
• Completing and reviewing care records and care plans.

Days (8am to 8pm) or Nights (8pm to 8am)

Work 2, 3 or 4 shifts per week (Every other weekend off)

What will you be doing?

As a Care Team Leader, you'll be a key part of daily life at Westview Lodge, supporting residents while providing guidance and leadership to the care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the care team during each shift

• Supporting residents with all aspects of daily living where required
• Promoting dignity, independence and choice
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Completing and reviewing care records and care plans accurately
• Supporting residents with physical, emotional and social needs
• Liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
• Supporting new starters and mentoring less experienced team members
• Encouraging residents to participate in activities, hobbies and daily life within the home
• Responding to emergencies and ensuring residents remain safe and well supported

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within residential, dementia or elderly care
