Job summary

Sagecare is seeking Care Assistants to support clients in London and surrounding areas. You will work across mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends with flexible full-time and part-time shifts.

You’ll follow individual care plans to assist with personal care, help with medication, meals, shopping and light housework, enabling clients to live safely in their own homes. Prior care experience isn’t required—compassion matters most.

Qualifications

• No previous social care experience required.
• Compassion and resilience essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans to support clients at home.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, continence and toileting.
• Help with medications as required.
• Support with shopping, meals and light housework.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing.

Locations: London – Lambeth, Southwark, Bankside, Bermondsey, Elephant and Castle, Newington, Nunhead, Peckham, Surrey Quays, Rotherhithe, East Dulwich, Brixton, Camberwell, Denmark Hill (SE1, SE5, SE15, SE16, SE22 areas)

A range of flexible full-time and part-time shifts are available covering, mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Our care assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes and housework.

You don’t need any social care experience to apply for this role. We’re more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You’ll need to be resilient too and willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team.
