Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant in Hungerford. You will provide companionship, assist with daily living tasks, and support independence in customers’ homes. No prior care experience is required, only kindness, reliability and a willingness to learn.

Training and ongoing support are provided, with flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle. Eligible candidates have a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle, plus the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and help customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that makes customers feel truly cared for.
