About Our Care Home

Our care home is situated on its own grounds with scenic views over the sea, woodland, and gardens. We specialize in providing residential care for 32 residents.

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will be a key member of our care team, helping us deliver an excellent standard of care to our residents. You will be an integral part of our team, promoting the values and ethos of our home.

Responsibilities
  1. Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encourage positive choices, and promote independence.
  2. Personalized Care: Support each resident according to their care plan, providing attentive and individualized assistance.
  3. Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Deputy Manager, and assist with contacting relatives or healthcare professionals.
  4. Champion Dignity: Respect and uphold the dignity of each resident in all interactions.
  5. Social Support: Foster social interactions among residents and staff to create a friendly environment.
  6. Safety and Comfort: Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond promptly to emergencies or call bells.
  7. Nutritional Support: Help residents with eating and drinking as needed, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  8. Spread Smiles: Bring joy and positivity to residents' lives daily.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant is ideal, but we welcome passionate individuals with transferable skills.
  • Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and delivering excellent service.
  • Values: Demonstrates integrity, respect, and teamwork.
