Home Instead are hiring now! We are looking for caring individuals to join our Care Assistant team in the Plympton, Wembury and surrounding areas. Do you go to work with a smile on your face? We do!

Job Description

Working in care, every day is different. At Home Instead we care for our clients in their own homes - we truly believe that home is where the heart is. We support people to be as independent as possible and to remain where they're happiest. With our help, guidance and support many of our elderly clients are able to regain confidence and engage in activities that they thought they may never do again. With a minimum call time of 1 hour, your tasks may include:

  • Helping someone with their morning and evening routines, this may involve supporting them with personal care tasks.
  • Preparing them healthy and delicious meals through the day.
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning & laundry.
  • Completing messages for clients, such as grocery shopping or supporting them to an appointment.
  • Getting out on a social activity - like going out for coffee or supporting a client with a hobby.
  • Above all, you will be there to provide that essential companionship service which is at the heart of everything that we do.
Qualifications

No previous experience required as training is provided. Due to the nature of the role you must have access to reliable transport as you may be required to assist a client to an appointment or to enable them to continue with a hobby or interest.
