Job Responsibilities
- Assist customers with daily activities such as getting up, going to bed, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and toileting.
- Support customers with mobility and physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
- Care for temporarily sick customers requiring bed nursing and feeding assistance.
- Provide care and support for terminally ill customers.
- Promote mental and physical activities through talking, outings, reading, hobbies, and recreation.
- Make and change beds, perform light cleaning, empty commodes, and general tidying.
- Inspect, launder, and mend customers’ clothes.
- Set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, and clean up afterwards.
- Read and write reports, participate in reviews and training activities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Report significant changes in a customer's health or circumstances to the supervisor.
- Encourage customer independence whenever possible.
