Job summary

Ocean Healthcare is actively seeking Care Assistants to join our Complex Care Team in the Torbay area. You will support children and adults with complex needs in their own homes or in the community, delivering 1:1 or 2:1 care and following specialist training from our nurse-led clinical team.

We offer part-time and bank contracts with training, ongoing support, and a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.
• Two UK work references (at least one care-related).
• Reliability and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 care in home or community settings.
• Support children and/or adults with complex health needs.
• Follow specialist training from our nurse-led clinical team.
• Maintain high quality care and accurate records.

Join Our Complex Care Team in the Torbay area - Days & Nights Available. Supporting Children and Adults. Part-Time Contracts Available.

Days & Nights | Various Shifts | Part-Time and Bank Contracts Available

Join Ocean Healthcare’s Complex Care Team in the Torbay and Teignbridge area, supporting children and adults in their own homes through consistent, high-quality care. We’re looking for confident, committed Care Assistants to provide specialist 1:1 or 2:1 support for children and/or adults with complex health needs.

You’ll be supporting children and adults with complex care needs in their home environment or in the community. Care may be delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on needs.

Complex care can include:

• Airway management and monitoring
• PEG feeding
• Medication administration
• Tracheostomy care
• Cough assist
• Deep suction

We’ll talk you through the specific packages of care so you know exactly what to expect.

Training & Support

You’ll receive specialist, face-to-face training delivered by our nurse-led clinical team and expert trainers, tailored to the individual you’ll be supporting. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one - we make sure you’re prepared, confident and supported before you step into the role.

Pay Rates & Shifts:

Part-time and Bank contracts available

Pay rates starting from £13.50 - £17.80 per hour, depending on complexity
