Job summary

Complete Homecare 24 in Craigavon is looking for a compassionate Care Worker to support clients at home with daily living tasks, companionship, and personal care.

No previous care experience is required as full training is provided; a full UK driving license is essential to reach clients, and you will join a supportive team with pension, flexible hours, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous care experience is helpful but not essential as full training is provided.
  • Communication: Strong spoken and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively.
  • Driver's License: A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends.
  • Access NI enhanced disclosure check will be performed for the post. We adhere to the Access NI code of practice.
  • A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from obtaining this position.
  • Our policy on storage and disposal of disclosure information is also available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Support with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming and toilet.
  • Health & Medication Support: Administer or remind about medications and ensure proper nutrition.
  • Emotional & Social Support: Provide companionship and encourage social interaction.
  • Domestic Assistance: Help with light household tasks including cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
  • Communication & Documentation: Record changes in health or mood and communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
  • Personal Advocacy: Empower clients to make choices and uphold dignity.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Personal Care
  • Support with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming and toilet
  • Assist with mobility and safe transfers in and out of beds etc
  • Use of mobility aids when required
Health & Medication Support
  • Assist with medication: administration or reminders as prescribed
  • Support with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
Emotional & Social Support
  • Offer companionship
  • Encourage social interaction and help clients stay connected with loved ones
  • Provide reassurance and emotional wellbeing
Domestic Assistance
  • Help with light household tasks including; cleaning, laundry and meal prep
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Communication & Documentation
  • Record and report changes in health, mood, or behaviour
  • Communicate clearly with family members, healthcare professionals, and other team members
Personal Advocacy
  • Empower individuals to make choices and decisions about their care
  • Ensure clients rights and dignity are upheld at all times
What Were Looking For
