Job description

About The Role

In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.

By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our care home team. Whether providing long-term or short-term, convalescence, respite, or palliative care, our focus is on delivering the highest quality service at all times.

As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.

You will deliver care from the heart, ensuring residents retain their dignity and individuality. Your involvement may include helping those with limited mobility to use aids, offering emotional support to distressed residents, or providing end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act on concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to seek advice or escalate issues when necessary.

We provide full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being, including:

  • Great work-life balance
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Free uniform
  • Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Group life assurance
  • Wagestream for flexible pay access
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • GP online service for you and your children
  • Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street outlets
  • Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
  • Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
  • Refer-a-friend scheme up to £1000 per successful referral

We embrace inclusive practices and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We aim for a quick onboarding process with full support to start your journey with us.
