Job summary

Bupa UK in Cirencester is seeking a Care Assistant at Ashley House Care Home to provide person-centred care, supporting independence and residents’ choices. You will join a team dedicated to high standards and a life residents love, guided by our Brave, Caring and Responsible values.

The role involves supporting residents with daily care, companionship, and activities, while documenting changes and following care plans to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
