Job summary

Work Location:

We support service users across Essex, including the following locations:

Basildon – Brentwood, Dunton, Great Warley, Pedham Green, Dunton Wayletts, West Horndon, Billericay, Harlow, Nazeing, Roydon, Hornchurch, Romford, Langdon Hills, Wickford and the surrounding areas.

Support is delivered across these areas, so flexibility and a willingness to travel locally are essential.

We particularly welcome applications from drivers based in or around these areas.

Shift Patterns:

Our services operate 7 days a week, offering flexible shifts:

  • Day Shifts: 6:00 / 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Evening Shifts: 2:00 PM – 10:00 / 11:00 PM

We value flexibility and reliability and offer consistent work for passionate individuals.

Pay Rates

Expect:

  • £12.21/£13.85 per hour – Monday to Friday (Dependent on location)
  • £12.51 /£14.37 per hour – Saturday (Dependent on location)
  • £12.42/£14.00 per hour – Sunday (Dependent on location)

Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

  • Supporting clients to live safer, supported lives at home by following care plans, assisting with personal care, medication, shopping, meals, and housework.
  • Helping with mobility, physical disabilities, and use of aids.
  • Performing domestic tasks like making beds, tidying, laundry, and emptying commodes.
  • Providing personal care including washing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Assisting with eating, drinking, and medication administration.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Offering companionship, engaging activities, and outings.
  • Supporting independence and social inclusion.
  • Monitoring health, documenting care, and responding to emergencies.
  • Collaborating with care teams and family members.

Qualifications

Experience is not required; full training will be provided. We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with:

  • Customer service skills, a willingness to learn, patience, and a desire to help others.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
