Care Assistant

Care and Support - Bearehill Care Home

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £12.70 Per Hour

Shift Type: Dayshift

Location: Brechin, Scotland

About the Role

Our care home, set in beautiful grounds within the town of Brechin, provides the highest standards of Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 49 residents. As a Care Assistant, you’ll be a key member of our care team, helping us achieve excellent standards of care. You’ll assist residents with daily routines, promote independence, and prioritize their health and happiness.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily routines and encourage independence.
• Follow personalized care plans, providing hands-on support.
• Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns, and assist with contacting healthcare professionals and relatives.
• Uphold residents’ dignity and respect in all interactions.
• Encourage social interactions to create a welcoming environment.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding promptly to emergencies.
• Assist with eating and drinking to meet nutritional needs.
• Contribute to bringing joy and smiles to residents’ lives.

About You

• Preferred SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant is ideal, but passion for care and transferable skills are welcome.
• Genuine interest in elderly care and commitment to excellent service.
• Values of integrity, respect, and teamwork.
