Care Assistant – Flexi Days and Nights 33 hours per week

The role of a Care Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the people living within Orchard homes. We ensure everyone is cared for with dignity, respect, and engagement in how they receive support. You will play a key role in ensuring they participate in meaningful activities and receive the best support tailored to their individual needs.

Main Duties

• Enable residents to remain as independent as possible while providing support and assistance as per their needs, including personal care such as washing, dressing, and oral care.
• Be understanding and patient, encouraging participation in leisure activities and supporting outside appointments and outings.
• Assist with making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Help serve meals and drinks, ensuring presentation and courteous service, providing appropriate support during mealtimes.
• Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act, and Infection Prevention and Control policies.
