Job summary

Sage Care in Biggleswade is recruiting Care Assistants to support service users across Bedfordshire. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity, respect and compassion, working a range of shifts 7 days a week.

No prior care experience required as full training is provided; driving licence is required due to geographic duties. We offer progression, benefits and a supportive team.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Care Professional, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred support that prioritises dignity, respect, and compassion.

  • Personal care (bathing, dressing, managing incontinence, toileting, and grooming)
  • Medication support (collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and administration)
  • Meal preparation and nutrition (preparing tasty meals and mealtime assistance)
  • Mobility and equipment support (getting around safely, transfers, and using mobility aids)
  • Housekeeping (making/changing beds, laundry, tidying, light cleaning, and emptying commodes)
  • Companionship and emotional support (providing a listening ear, engaging conversations, and outings)
  • Encourage social engagement and family connections
  • Monitor health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • Respond to emergencies safely and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team
Qualifications

What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!)

  • Driving Requirement: Access to a vehicle is strictly required due to the geographical nature of this role (must hold a valid driving licence).
