Job description

As a Care Assistant, we ask that you care for our residents like they are your own family, caring for their Physical, Psychological, and Social needs. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meals.

  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or care certificate. However, all training is provided, so these are desirable, not essential.
  • Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • A committed and organised approach.
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties
  • Attend Staff Meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training, and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
  • Ensure you fully understand your safeguarding responsibility, develop your understanding and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
  • Provide evidence of any untaken training.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
  • Complete all training as determined by the home.
