Abacare Bangor (Part of CCH Group) in Bangor is seeking a Care Assistant to visit vulnerable adults in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. You’ll be the highlight of someone’s day with a friendly presence and practical support.

You’ll assist with morning routines, meals, and provide companionship while joining a large national network that backs local branches with training and resources. Flexible full-time/part-time hours available to fit your life.

Responsibilities

• Visiting vulnerable adults in their own homes in Bangor to support independence and dignity.
• Help clients get ready for the day with washing/dressing.
• Prepare a hearty breakfast or lunch for clients.
• Provide a listening ear, friendly chat, and companionship.

What will you be doing?

You will be the highlight of someone’s day. As a Care Assistant, you’ll be visiting vulnerable adults in the Bangor community in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence and dignity. No two days are exactly the same, but your day might include:

• Helping someone get ready for the day with a bright 'good morning' (assisting with washing and dressing).
• Preparing a hearty breakfast or lunch.
• Most importantly, providing a listening ear, a friendly chat, and a bit of much-needed companionship.
