Job summary

Abacare is hiring a Care Assistant to visit clients in their own homes around Neath & Port Talbot. You’ll support independence and dignity by assisting with daily activities, meals, and companionship, with paid training provided.

Pool cars are available for carers, there is mileage allowance, and you can contribute to a flexible rota that fits around your life and commitments.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full paid training provided.
• Caring, compassionate nature with good listening skills.
• Able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends

Responsibilities

• Visit and support vulnerable adults in their homes across Neath & Port Talbot.
• Help with morning routines, washing and dressing, and preparing meals.
• Prompt and monitor medication as needed; provide companionship.

What will you be doing?

You Will Be The Highlight Of Someone’s Day. As a Care Assistant, You’ll Be Visiting Vulnerable Adults In The Neath & Port Talbot Community In Their Own Homes, Helping Them To Maintain Their Independence And Dignity. No Two Days Are Exactly The Same, But Your Day Might Include

• Helping someone get ready for the day with a bright 'good morning' (assisting with washing and dressing).
• Preparing a hearty breakfast or lunch.
• Prompting medication.
• Most importantly, providing a listening ear, a friendly chat, and a bit of much-needed companionship.
