Job description

Borovere is a 34-bedded residential home with some residents living with early onset dementia.

We are a not-for-profit organization, so all proceeds go back into the home to enhance the residents' quality of life.

Borovere is part of Greensleeves, a larger organization with 28 homes nationwide.

We are seeking to hire Carers for day and night shifts, part-time or full-time, in our beautiful residential care home. This role is suitable for caring and compassionate individuals; no prior experience is necessary as full induction and ongoing training are provided.

We offer a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

Applicants must provide references, and employment is contingent upon an enhanced DBS disclosure, which is paid for by the employer.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care needs, respecting their dignity and promoting independence.
• Help residents with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility; monitor their needs and report concerns to the senior team.
• Encourage mental and physical activities for residents; make and change beds; perform light cleaning and empty commodes.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support all areas of the home.

Hours:

• Days & Nights available
• Part-time (3 shifts per week)
• Full-time (4-5 shifts per week)
• Alternate weekends required
• Day shifts: 8am - 2pm and 2pm - 9pm (must be available for both)
• Night shift: 9pm - 8am

Pay:

• £12.88 per hour (unqualified)
• £13.26 per hour (Level 2 qualification)
• £13.51 per hour (Level 3 qualification)

No experience is required, as full training is provided. Male and female positions are available.
