City & County Healthcare in Alnwick, Northumberland is seeking a Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults at home. You’ll work flexible shifts with walking routes available for walkers and the option of a rota that fits your life, including mornings, evenings or weekends.

Pay is £14.06 per hour with 45p per mile, plus a £150 welcome bonus. We provide full paid training and DBS, and sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Although this position is with Berwick Careline Homecare, your work will predominantly be near Alnwick and Seahouses. You will be paid from the time you leave your home, not when you arrive on shift. We also pay by the shift, so this means you are paid for time in between service user calls.

Job Description

What will you be doing?

You will be the highlight of someone’s day. As a Care Professional, you'll be visiting vulnerable adults in the Alnwick community in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence and dignity. No two days are exactly the same, but your day might include:

• Helping someone get ready for the day with a bright 'good morning' (assisting with washing and dressing).
• Preparing a hearty breakfast or lunch.
• Prompting medication.
• Most importantly, providing a listening ear, a friendly chat, and a bit of much-needed companionship.
