Job summary

Rose Care Group is offering an Apprenticeship as a Day Care Assistant. You will help residents feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while working within a supportive team.

The role includes personal care, mobility assistance, and following care plans to promote dignity and independence. Apprenticeship combines hands-on duties with 6 hours of paid off-the-job training weekly within a 30-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training rather than college attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care (washing, dressing, grooming, continence care).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, meals and drinks.
• Follow individual care plans while promoting dignity and independence.
• Encourage participation in activities and social interactions.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Monitor and report changes in health and well-being.
• Complete accurate care records and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality, person-centred care.
