Job summary

Somerset Care Group is looking for dedicated individuals to join their Home Care Team in Martock. You'll support customers with personal care and daily living activities, ensuring they receive high-quality care tailored to their needs.

To qualify, you must have a full driving licence, knowledge of the Martock area, and the right to work in the UK. Positions offer full and part-time options, with competitive pay and comprehensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A full valid driving licence and your own vehicle.
  • Knowledge of the Martock area and ability to commute.
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
  • Availability to work varied hours across a two-week rota.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers with daily living routines including personal care.
  • Provide companionship and help in daily activities.
  • Understand and follow the care plan for customers.
  • Maintain clear records of care provided.
  • Ensure customers have enough to eat and drink.
  • Report any concerns about customers.
  • Assist with manual handling for less mobile individuals.

Join our Home Care Team, part of the Somerset Care Group, in Martock. Also referred to as domiciliary care, our tailored service provides support to people within their own homes, out and about, with personal care, hobbies, or companionship.

Qualifications

A full valid driving licence and your own vehicle.

Knowledge of the Martock area and ability to commute to Martock from your home location.

Right to work in the UK (we are not able to offer sponsorship).

Availability to work 7-2 and/or 4-10 across Monday to Sunday on a two‑week rolling rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care.
  • Providing companionship and making someone’s day that little bit easier.
  • Understanding the care plan in place to support the customers we look after.
  • Keeping clear and accurate records of the care and support provided at each visit.
  • Ensuring our customers have eaten and are drinking enough to remain as healthy as possible.
  • Working with the team around you to raise any concerns you have regarding our customers.
  • Manual Handling – For anyone that may be less mobile.
