Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are currently recruiting 2 x 24-hour Level 2 Care and Support Workers to join Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home, Aberystwyth, on a permanent basis. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. As long as you have kindness, patience, respect, and resilience — the rest we can teach you!

About the role

No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. Your duties may include:

  • Providing total care to clients according to care plans
  • Offering emotional support and reassurance, especially during changes or family crises
  • Administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, following policy and procedure
  • Escorting clients on outings, such as leisure trips
  • Completing daily records
  • Carrying out cleaning, laundry, and dining room service
