Candlelight Care are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our dedicated and friendly, family-run team, supporting vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes within Gillingham, Dorset and the surrounding areas. We currently have opportunities for both full and part-time Care and Support Workers. Our typical shift patterns run from 7am - 2pm and/or 4pm up to 10pm. We also ask for a commitment to working alternate weekends. Driving is not always essential depending on location.
Key Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker:
Every day is different when you work in Health and Social Care, however,you should expect to get to know your clients and their interests and needs. Give emotional and practical support, assist with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) domestic household tasks and food preparation, all tailored to each individual's needs.
You will also be assisting with medication, use of mobility aids and personal equipment where required, and have a responsibility to report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.
