A leading company in retirement living is seeking a Care & Support Assistant for their PymCourt development in Exeter. Job description

McCarthy Stone are recruiting a professional Care & Support Assistant to join the team at our prestigious PymCourt development in Topsham, Exeter.

Built in 2022, PymCourt is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 53 apartments designed for those over 70, offering excellent on-site facilities set within beautiful grounds.

Hourly rate: £12.80 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional £1.30 for evening and weekend shifts.

About the role: As a Care & Support Assistant, you will provide high-quality individual care to residents, enabling them to live well in later life. Your duties will include housekeeping and domestic support, supporting residents in activities that promote their health and wellbeing, assisting with appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits, and shopping. The role offers variety and the chance to use your interpersonal skills to make a positive impact.

About you:

  • You are a warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in care or support environments.
  • You have a passion for enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You are committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector, preferably with a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Adults), although alternative qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
