Care and Maintenance Assistant - 12 month fixed term contract.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Care and Maintenance Assistant working across our existing distribution facilities in Bridgwater, Weston, Bristol and Gloucester. This is a key role that is central to the successful delivery of a prestigious contract where Wincanton provide warehousing and distribution for deliveries into the Hinkley Point C build programme that is playing a key role in Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero.
Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history.
This is a vital role to ensure compliance with passive maintenance of nuclear items, you will be actively checking and maintaining items over 6 warehouses. Keeping maintenance schedules up to date and compliant with supplier standards.

Day to Day
Support the administration of procedures, processes, and records to support maintenance activities including but not limited to specifying and scheduling activities.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and protocols for construction, procurement, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality
Creation of a planning schedule and recording all long-term quality records for the Office of Nuclear Regulations (ONR) requirements
Ensure that all records of plant and equipment delivered to the Warehouse Facilities is maintained as per the supplier requirements
Note take at internal and external committees, working groups, forums, and meetings
Schedule and assist asset reviews, compile reports on performance, and highlight action close out and improvement status.
Promote the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency for maintenance on all equipment in the warehouse facilities.
Execute passive Care and Maintenance activities.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying and reporting events, areas for improvement and good practices to enhance performance.
What will you bring?
Strong IT literacy; MS packages, record keeping and WMS
Understanding and practical experience of specifying work packages including risk assessments and method statements.
Knowledge of engineering regulations and standards
Desirable: Demonstrable Engineering/Maintenance experience or applicable qualification
Experience of working alongside contract teams and able to provide challenge and guidance where required.
Experience of developing and implementing Care and Maintenance arrangements
Knowledge of an Asset Management tool
