Job summary

Brighton and Hove City Council is seeking a Social Work Assistant in Adult Social Care for the Enhanced Support Team. You will carry out Care Act assessments and support social workers on more complex cases, helping to promote safety and independence.

You will work with vulnerable adults facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health needs, substance use, domestic abuse, and involvement with the criminal justice system, in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerable people in social care.
• Experience applying law and policy relevant to adult care.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Completing Care Act assessments.
• Assisting social workers with more complex cases.
• Ensuring timely assessments and practical support to promote safety and independence.
