Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust at Harefield Hospital is seeking junior cardiothoracic fellows. The post is for 6 months initially, with mutual consent to extend up to 23 months, rotating between consultant firms and providing a range of cardiothoracic care, including ICU emergencies.

Consultant cover will be available at all times. The responsibilities include ward rounds, investigations, operating theatre support when on duty, outpatient clinic involvement, and research/teaching

Qualifications

• Full GMC with licence to practise.
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Fit to practice safely / Probity.
• Foundation competencies per GMC standards.

Responsabilités

• Take histories, examine and record findings for patients admitted under consultants.
• Carry out and arrange investigations.
• Attend ward rounds and ensure communication about patient status.
• Assist in operating theatre when on duty.
• Attend outpatient clinics and ensure timely clinic letters.
